These terms apply to your use of https://instantcashcars.com.au, including listing a car, asking to be matched with buyers, and contacting a seller ("we", "us", and "our" mean Instant Cash Cars). By using this website you agree to these terms.

What we are

Instant Cash Cars is a matchmaking service. We connect people selling cars with people who want to buy them. We are not a motor dealer. We do not buy, sell, value, inspect, collect, or hold any vehicle. We do not act as agent for a buyer or a seller, and we never handle the money for a sale.

Listing a car

To list a car you must:

• Own the car, or be authorised by its owner to sell it;
• Describe it honestly, including its kilometres, its history, any finance owing, and any damage you know of;
• Use only photos of the car itself that you are allowed to use.

Listing is free. Our team checks every listing before it goes live. We may decline a listing, ask for a change, or remove a listing at any time, for example where it looks misleading, unlawful, or unsafe.

The sale is between the buyer and the seller

Any sale is a contract between the seller and the buyer. They agree the price, the payment, and the handover between themselves. We are not a party to the sale. We do not guarantee any vehicle, listing, buyer, seller, or payment.

Buyers should check a car before paying, including a search of the Personal Property Securities Register and the state or territory registration check. Sellers should hand over a car only once the money has cleared in their own account. Where finance is owing, the buyer and the seller need to arrange for the loan to be cleared at settlement.

Messages and contact details

Messages between buyers and sellers pass through us. We may hold a message that looks like spam or a scam before it is delivered. A seller's email address is never shown. A seller's phone number is shown only to a buyer who proves their email with a code, within daily limits. Use a contact detail only to deal about the car.

AI assistants

You can use this website through an AI assistant such as ChatGPT. The same terms and limits apply. You are responsible for what your assistant does for you, and an assistant may list a car only for its owner or a person authorised to sell it.

Information on this website, including market commentary, registration figures, and model information, is general in nature and provided for guidance only. It is not financial, legal, or valuation advice. Registration figures are sourced from BITRE "Road Vehicles, Australia" (CC BY) and reflect the census year stated on the relevant page. We aim to keep information accurate but do not warrant that it is complete or current.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from a sale between a buyer and a seller, from a listing or message created by another person, or from reliance on general information on this website.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.
