Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2026
Instant Cash Cars ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or request a valuation, how we use it, and your rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
When you request a valuation or sell a vehicle to us, we may collect:
- Vehicle details you provide, registration, state, kilometres and condition;
- Contact details, your mobile number and, if you provide it, your name and email;
- Where you proceed with a sale, proof of identity, proof of ownership, and bank details for payment;
- Technical information, your IP address and an approximate location derived from it, and standard web-server logs.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Prepare your valuation and make you an offer;
- Contact you about your enquiry or sale;
- Complete the purchase, including verifying ownership, settling any finance and paying you;
- Meet our legal obligations and keep records of transactions.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where necessary to complete your sale, for example with your finance provider to obtain a payout figure, or with government agencies for the registration transfer, or where required by law.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Payment and identity details are collected only when you proceed with a sale and are kept only as long as needed for the transaction and our record-keeping obligations.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only essential cookies needed for the site to function. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, seek your consent.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.
